Hunter Kent:

Hunter Kent is a senior in Cape Elizabeth High School in the USA.
She spent a few years (grades 8-10) in her life fighting through self harm and depression. She was a very quiet and shy person feeling as if the whole world was against her, suffering through the pain she felt. Hunter tried to make herself feel better by trying to do a few different things like cutting her skin, but that only made it worse. Eventually, she started feeling better about herself after her parents sent her to a camp where she talked about what was happening with her and now she openly speaks about her past and how her is future is going to be better.

I think we should watch this video because depression and self harm by cutting your skin just to make you feel better is a serious issue. People do it because they feel emotionally abused, bullied, or they're are suffering from a tragedy. Hunter Kent talks about her depression story and what she did to get over it because depression does not make you feel good. And if you fight with it instead of against it, then you will never be able to conquer it, and it will hurt you so hard that it may even kill you.
Depression is not easy to get over but Hunter Kent wanted to share her story and today, she feels good about being herself and she isn't cutting herself anymore, she is no longer bearing the pain of depression. We should watch this video because talking about depression in her camp helped Hunter and it could help so many other people get over this horrible addiction of self harm due to depression.
